LATIN: KatKiwianus GENDER: In many queer theory circles, it is disputed as to wether gender exists, but the animal appears to be female FOUND: native to Auckland New Zealand, currently in Wellington,with plans to spread all over the globe DIET: vegan GENERAL HABITS: The mystic Kat enjoys long passionate rants and conversation on many subjects. The animal can usually be found in alternative vegetarian coffee houses, libraries, universities and botanic gardens no matter what its global location. It can also be found watching large amounts of Buffy and Freaks and Geek DVD's. The animal appears to engage in various forms of activism, especialy relating to the environment. It is a social creature, but also displays moodiness, and can often be found alone. The animal spends large amounts of time, reading and writing and would appear to have a 'book habit' (she needs her literary hit) MATING HABITS: Appears to favour the female of the species, but enjoys social relations with either sex. MISC INFO: The creature is currently doing a bachelor of arts in environmental studies at Victoria University of Wellington, and suffering from chronic fatigue. The history of human civilisation (condensed version): Species of aggressive, territorial ape comes to planetary prominence through overbreeding and subjugation of other species. Ape develops farming, language and complex tools. Ape spends next ten thousand years subjugating members of its own species. Ape develops complex, competing monotheistic religions as means of better subjugating own species. Ape discovers coal, oil and gas. Ape burns coal, oil and gas for energy, giving it the means to create vastly sophisticated industrial civilisation. Birth of such civilisation gives ape the ability to abolish poverty, hunger and material misery on global scale. Ape instead takes opportunity to create nuclear weapons, global capitalism, six-lane motorways, communism, fascism, Los Angeles and Celebrity Big Brother. Ape discovers that birth of industrial society has also created knock-on effect which will finally allow planet to rid itself of ape.
